Gina Bacconi selected the clothing and footwear business management solution – Protex, supplied by Datel to manage its business.
Gina Bacconi design, manufacture and sell women’s occasionwear and day-to-evening garments. With a long history dating back to 1913 the company produces clothing with its own brand label Gina Bocconi to suit customers own design requirements.
Based in London, Gina Bacconi’s management team consists of 3rd and 4th generations of the founding family whom continue to strive for excellence across its business. Michael Berman, Head of Finance, explains; ‘Our long and strong history is because we have continued to enhance the way we do business and we have evolved in line with the ever changing business and customer landscape. Over recent years the business has transitioned from a wholesale only business to incorporate a more retail focused internet business. Our core IT business system was dated and was no longer up to the job of where the company was today and where we wanted to go. We needed a system that could support our modern business now and into the future. That is when we began to talk to Datel and find out more about the Protex solution suite.’
Protex is a clothing and footwear specific business management solution managing the whole business process. Martin Rath, Director at Datel describes the solution Gina Bacconi are implementing; ‘Gina Bacconi are implementing the Protex ERP solution across the business, The solution focusses on enhancing demand planning, costing, distribution, inventory control and warehouse management. Protex will be at the core of Gina Bacconi’s business giving them a holistic view of what is going on where across the business.’
